Egypt

Its been almost a month since I updated my blog, for which am sorry, I’ve been extremely busy. And time management is not listed as one of my strongest traits, especially when I have to go to Field workshops! In the middle of nowhere!
Anyway, this is not what am writing about! Am writing today about Egypt! EGYPT!  To be honest I didn’t like Egypt or Egyptians. I thought of them as the most annoying people alive! And for that I apologize! I thought they were –softies- if I stated the truth, then January 25th happened! I realized how mistaken I was! I mistakenly hated a nation, whom it’s impossible to think of as a bad people.
I witnessed Egypt gracefully enter the history as the first Arabic country to oust a Dictator. Then I’ve realized it’s us who I hated the most! We are in a bigger situation than Egypt, and they were able to become one! They have left all other issues and focused on the one matters to them as EGYPTIANS! Not driven by color, race, religion or big shot last names! They were Egyptians!
Then they had the first “official and legitimate “elections, regardless of the Carter Centre report which suggested otherwise, the MB’s candidate miraculously won!
A year later they revolt again in June 30th! Revolt again, because they didn’t like the way the president rules.  Revolt because they don’t want to be “Ikhawani”  –which means a MB owned- country. Revolt because of the different ethnicity . Revolt because they believe in their rights.
My bows to the brave Egyptians and may Allah grants his mercy on the souls of all of the martyrs
